Slide Show & Presentation Presented By       DEVON SEA FISHERIES

Paignton Sea Anglers Image

Starts 8pm

Since its formation in 1892 Devon Sea Fisheries Committee has grown from one man patrolling the ports and coastline, into a modern and effective working unit consisting of a Clerk and Chief Fisheries Officer, his Deputy, six Fishery Officers and one part time office manager. The Devon Sea Fisheries Committee is one of twelve Sea Fisheries Committees (SFCs') in England and Wales, all of which subscribe to the Association of Sea Fisheries Committees whose Chief Executive represents their interests nationally. The unit operates a twenty one metre patrol vessel, 'Drumbeat of Devon' for patrolling the Devon coastline on a day to day basis up to six miles offshore. In addition the Committee owns and operates a seven metre Rigid Inflatable Boat (R.I.B) for use in coastal inshore zones.

Come & listen to see how they can improve our future angling.
